Jordan Family Fun!

This past Sunday, the whole Jordan side of the family (except Brent and Jen) was able to get together and enjoy each others company! It was lots of fun! Despite the breeze and the rain, we were able to enjoy some yummy food and chat quite a bit! It was so fun to have all of the family there: We were able to catch up on old times, as well as play with the younger ones and create new memories! Pelting Dave with marshmallows was a blast! I scrambled to find some marshmallows, as we only had one bag! But we found some and showered them upon the unsuspecting Dave! I feel bad for anyone that marries into this family...they have no idea what's coming! All in all, it was a wonderful day to spend together, especially right before Eric leaves! Good luck, Eric!
I think Kate wanted some quiet! :)

Phillip is playing a game with the younger boys! He loves those kids! They are so adorable!

24th of July fun!

Well, it all started yesterday! My best friend Steff was having a really rough day and needed a s night! So she came over and we watched 'I Am Legend' (which was amazing!) while eating cookies and ice cream! We then had a fun slumber party!

Then early the next morning, we picked up a friend, Cody, to come to the 24th of July Parade with us! We had a great time, but it was rather hot! We decided to leave early because we were roasting and we also wanted to beat the traffic! But we still had a wonderful time together! We all cheered for the bands, and it made us kind of sad not to play! I miss playing in parades, no matter how hot they were!

Then after I got home, Emily & I were really bored and hot (our cooler wasn't blowing cold air, but we got it figured out) and our lawn was getting a little dry, so we decided to have some childish fun with the hose! Unfortunately, we don't have a fun sprinkler to run in, so we just improvised! Despite the lack of a fun water toy, we had TONS of fun! We just sprayed each other and watered the lawn! But it was very refreshing and we had a good time! Here are some pictures of the parade, and our water fun!

The KSL people actually talked to us! They were very nice!

The Dark Knight

Ok, so Friday, Emily and I went on a double date! It was during the day so it's not a usual date, but we still had a great time! We first went to Wal*Mart and played a fun shop & swap game (Emily won, but they cheated...j/k).
We then went to see the Dark Knight! It was SO good, I loved it! I agree with the comments about it being Heath Ledger's best performance, he was a very creepy Joker! It was great! It was a pretty dark movie, so I wouldn't recommend taking the younger kids, but it was really amazing!
After that we went to Coldstone to get some ice cream! Emily's date, Lee, made a big mess with his ice cream, but we had lots of fun! I know this isn't much of a post, but I figured I'd share!

Fun Memories?

I know there won't be many of these memories for me, but please feel free to leave something if you remember something fun!

Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments!

Fun at the lake!

This past Friday & Saturday, our stake put on a Young Single activity at the Grand Cayman Resort in Delta (yes, there is a lake there!). There is a High Councilman that offered his beachside home that they have a time-share for. There weren't very many of us young singles that went, but I convinced my good friend Tommy (he and I are pictured above; I don't know why I'm looking up) to come with me so I wouldn't be alone!
We went down there on Friday night and had s'mores, played Guitar Hero and Singing Star and had a good time getting to know each other! The s stayed inside the house and stayed up until 1 am talking about who-knows-what, but we had a good time! Then we woke up at 7 am (yes, very early)! But we started off the day with a good breakfast, and got started on the lake!
First off, we went tubing in one of the boats and that was good fun! We all flew off, but it was lots of fun. The other boat offered water-skiing so we just switched it up. I attempted to ski, but it didn't work out so well! But the others had succes in their attempts. It was fun to watch! Some of them also did wakeboarding.
After some more tubing and skiing, they pulled out some wave runners! It was SO much fun! We got lots of time in on the lake and it wasn't too crowded! It was a lot of fun!

This video is my good friend Lori water-skiing! My attempts didn't turn out so well! She did pretty well!

Drum Corps International

Last night was one of the most AMAZING nights of my life...I saw America's best marching bands! This is the one thing I look forward to every summer...and it was beautiful! Mr. Nix, the band teacher, invited us 'super seniors' (pictured right) to come with the band, so that was nice! The Blue Knights (the hosts of this comp.) had a clinic for the first part of the day for the school students that came to watch, and they just showed them some of the stuff they do every day, which was pretty sweet.

Then came the real fun! There were 7 bands that performed: Spokane Thunder (WA) , Velvet Knights (CA), Troopers (WY), Blue Knights (CO), Phantom Regiment (IL; shown in picture), Blue Devils (CA), Santa Clara Vanguard (CA). They just kept getting better and better! My favorite band, the Blue Devils, had the most amazing show, I loved it! They won the competition, and amazed the crowd! They were all so good, and it was a band nerds dream! It was so fun!

4th of July!

Well, what a day! Our whole family came out yesterday to join in the festivities! We went to the Tooele parade at 9 am, which was weird because I actually wasn't in it this year with the band! But we had lots of fun, and the parade was just grand! Here's me and Ethan at the parade!
After that, we went to eat as a family at Apollo Burger before we went to see Wall-e! It was such a cute show, we all enjoyed it! Ethan and Stuart had already seen it, but we made them come!
Then came the best part! As a family tradition, we fill up water balloons and launch them down the street! The launcher was a little torn, so our first few tries didn't work, but Mom came to the rescue and sewed it up and it worked like a charm! The neighbors (back behind the cemetary) saw that we were doing water balloons and wanted us to shoot them over there, so we did! The little kids had a fun time!
We started to get nervous when a county sheriff came down the street, but he said it was all good, just as long as we didn't do any damage to property! And, of course, Ethan tried to hit the cop! But we had a really fun time, and got really wet in the process! Unfortunately, I had to go to work at 6 pm and missed the fireworks, but I saw of few of them from work, so it was ok! All in all, we had a wonderful day and we were happy that everyone in the family was able to come!
