Homecoming!

Well, it's been a long time since I last posted, but I've been so busy! I just wanted to post a few pictures of the FREEZING cold Homecoming game yesterday! It was so much fun! It didn't start out that cold, but as each quarter went by, it just kept getting colder and colder...and it snowed! Our football team dominated though, 58-12! It was an awesome game and we had fun, even though we were freezing!

Fun Weekend at College!

Well, these past couple of days have been fun! Last night, we (me and a roommate, Christina, and two guys we went to high school with) played a very intense game of Monopoly:Then & Now!! We used the rules for a short game, but it ended up going for like 3 hours! But it was amazing, we had a good time! Then we went over to the guys' house and watched the first half of the Bourne Ultimatum. We got tired at about midnight and called it a night!
Then, today, after sleeping in until 10, we decided we'd have another fun day! We partied at the Activities Center, playing volleyball and raquetball, then we watched most of the BYU/Washington game! Then we decided to go to a matinee of Babylon A.D. at the movie theater in town. The movie was pretty good, different and kind of confusing, but good! Then we went back to the guys' place and had some dinner and watched TV!
I know this doesn't sound like fun, but we all had an amazing time! We just have fun together so I enjoyed it! ;)

I'm having difficultly with the pictures, so I'll see if I can add those soon! :)

My Dad's Birthday Surprise!

This week is my dad's 50th birthday! We talked a lot about what we wanted to give to my dad and decided that we would go to Desert Star Theater as a family...but then my mom thought of a great idea! Since most of us (Stuart, Ethan & I) would be away at college for his birthday, she thought it would be great if we came up to surprise him! Conveniently, Labor Day is right around his birthday! So, my mom bought the tickets for all of us, but telling my dad that it would be only the 2 of them for a night out, and all of us kids would be there to surprise him! So, the night came (this past Friday) and we all beat our parents to the theater and shouted and screamed as he walked in! He had no idea, even when mom almost blew it! But we all had a great time and dad really enjoyed it! The show was 'Scary Poppins', and it was quite hilarious! Here are some pictures of the evening!

Yes, ladies, Ethan is single! ;)

New Hair Cut (and Color!)!

Well, I should have posted this a while ago, but I've been pressed for time as of late! I just wanted to post a couple of pictures of my new hair cut that I've had for about 2 weeks! I really, really love it! I hope you will too!! I love the new color and I've decided I'm going to stay brunette!

Well, school is going wonderfully! I absolutely love it! I've had a great time down here and I've met tons of fun people! My roommates are so fun and I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life! :) We're having a fun time together, as well as with our Grantsville guys! We hang out at their place a lot because it's cooler! (And they have a TV!)

I have a ton of music classes, which I LOVE, as well as an english class and a bowling class! All in all, things are going really well! I do miss my family, and my cat, but I get to see them this weekend! YAY!

First Week at Snow!!

Wow, what a week!! First of all, the move down here went great and the president of Snow College actually helped me and my roommates move in! How cool is that?
This past week has definitely been a busy one, though! On Monday and Tuesday, us wee freshmen had 'Start Smart', which is a class that gives a good overview on how to be a good college student! It was quite exhausting, but we got free food out of it, so we won't complain! ;) Then, school officially started on Wednesday! I have a ton of music classes, which I love, and some fun ones too! My friend Skylar and I are taking Bowling together, so that's really fun!
Luckily for us, we've had lots of free meals provided almost every day, so it definitely helps out! We've been hanging out with our friends almost every day, and having a BLAST! I've met some really fun people and I'm really enjoying this new experience!

Off to College!!

This week is going to be a busy one! I'm moving off to Snow College this Saturday! I'm kind of scared, it'll be my first time being on my own, but then again, I'm SO excited! Luckily, I'm living with 2 other people I know and Stuart will be down there too! It's just going to be a brand new experience!
Lately, I've been worrying that I haven't got everything I need, but I think everything will work out. Fortunately, Aunt le gave me some dishes and other kitchen items, Valerie offered me an old tower for a computer, and Aunt Kaye let me buy an old monitor from her! I just love my family, thank you all so much! :D It really helps!

Jordan Family Fun!

This past Sunday, the whole Jordan side of the family (except Brent and Jen) was able to get together and enjoy each others company! It was lots of fun! Despite the breeze and the rain, we were able to enjoy some yummy food and chat quite a bit! It was so fun to have all of the family there: We were able to catch up on old times, as well as play with the younger ones and create new memories! Pelting Dave with marshmallows was a blast! I scrambled to find some marshmallows, as we only had one bag! But we found some and showered them upon the unsuspecting Dave! I feel bad for anyone that marries into this family...they have no idea what's coming! All in all, it was a wonderful day to spend together, especially right before Eric leaves! Good luck, Eric!
I think Kate wanted some quiet! :)

Phillip is playing a game with the younger boys! He loves those kids! They are so adorable!

Cute little Brynnley and I!

24th of July fun!

Well, it all started yesterday! My best friend Steff was having a really rough day and needed a s night! So she came over and we watched 'I Am Legend' (which was amazing!) while eating cookies and ice cream! We then had a fun slumber party!

Then early the next morning, we picked up a friend, Cody, to come to the 24th of July Parade with us! We had a great time, but it was rather hot! We decided to leave early because we were roasting and we also wanted to beat the traffic! But we still had a wonderful time together! We all cheered for the bands, and it made us kind of sad not to play! I miss playing in parades, no matter how hot they were!

Then after I got home, Emily & I were really bored and hot (our cooler wasn't blowing cold air, but we got it figured out) and our lawn was getting a little dry, so we decided to have some childish fun with the hose! Unfortunately, we don't have a fun sprinkler to run in, so we just improvised! Despite the lack of a fun water toy, we had TONS of fun! We just sprayed each other and watered the lawn! But it was very refreshing and we had a good time! Here are some pictures of the parade, and our water fun!

The KSL people actually talked to us! They were very nice!

The Dark Knight

Ok, so Friday, Emily and I went on a double date! It was during the day so it's not a usual date, but we still had a great time! We first went to Wal*Mart and played a fun shop & swap game (Emily won, but they cheated...j/k).
We then went to see the Dark Knight! It was SO good, I loved it! I agree with the comments about it being Heath Ledger's best performance, he was a very creepy Joker! It was great! It was a pretty dark movie, so I wouldn't recommend taking the younger kids, but it was really amazing!
After that we went to Coldstone to get some ice cream! Emily's date, Lee, made a big mess with his ice cream, but we had lots of fun! I know this isn't much of a post, but I figured I'd share!

Fun Memories?

I know there won't be many of these memories for me, but please feel free to leave something if you remember something fun!

Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments!

Fun at the lake!

This past Friday & Saturday, our stake put on a Young Single activity at the Grand Cayman Resort in Delta (yes, there is a lake there!). There is a High Councilman that offered his beachside home that they have a time-share for. There weren't very many of us young singles that went, but I convinced my good friend Tommy (he and I are pictured above; I don't know why I'm looking up) to come with me so I wouldn't be alone!
We went down there on Friday night and had s'mores, played Guitar Hero and Singing Star and had a good time getting to know each other! The s stayed inside the house and stayed up until 1 am talking about who-knows-what, but we had a good time! Then we woke up at 7 am (yes, very early)! But we started off the day with a good breakfast, and got started on the lake!
First off, we went tubing in one of the boats and that was good fun! We all flew off, but it was lots of fun. The other boat offered water-skiing so we just switched it up. I attempted to ski, but it didn't work out so well! But the others had succes in their attempts. It was fun to watch! Some of them also did wakeboarding.
After some more tubing and skiing, they pulled out some wave runners! It was SO much fun! We got lots of time in on the lake and it wasn't too crowded! It was a lot of fun!

This video is my good friend Lori water-skiing! My attempts didn't turn out so well! She did pretty well!

Drum Corps International

Last night was one of the most AMAZING nights of my life...I saw America's best marching bands! This is the one thing I look forward to every summer...and it was beautiful! Mr. Nix, the band teacher, invited us 'super seniors' (pictured right) to come with the band, so that was nice! The Blue Knights (the hosts of this comp.) had a clinic for the first part of the day for the school students that came to watch, and they just showed them some of the stuff they do every day, which was pretty sweet.

Then came the real fun! There were 7 bands that performed: Spokane Thunder (WA) , Velvet Knights (CA), Troopers (WY), Blue Knights (CO), Phantom Regiment (IL; shown in picture), Blue Devils (CA), Santa Clara Vanguard (CA). They just kept getting better and better! My favorite band, the Blue Devils, had the most amazing show, I loved it! They won the competition, and amazed the crowd! They were all so good, and it was a band nerds dream! It was so fun!

4th of July!

Well, what a day! Our whole family came out yesterday to join in the festivities! We went to the Tooele parade at 9 am, which was weird because I actually wasn't in it this year with the band! But we had lots of fun, and the parade was just grand! Here's me and Ethan at the parade!
After that, we went to eat as a family at Apollo Burger before we went to see Wall-e! It was such a cute show, we all enjoyed it! Ethan and Stuart had already seen it, but we made them come!
Then came the best part! As a family tradition, we fill up water balloons and launch them down the street! The launcher was a little torn, so our first few tries didn't work, but Mom came to the rescue and sewed it up and it worked like a charm! The neighbors (back behind the cemetary) saw that we were doing water balloons and wanted us to shoot them over there, so we did! The little kids had a fun time!
We started to get nervous when a county sheriff came down the street, but he said it was all good, just as long as we didn't do any damage to property! And, of course, Ethan tried to hit the cop! But we had a really fun time, and got really wet in the process! Unfortunately, I had to go to work at 6 pm and missed the fireworks, but I saw of few of them from work, so it was ok! All in all, we had a wonderful day and we were happy that everyone in the family was able to come!

rsl game

My dad won tickets for the RSL game this past Wednesday! He won 4 tickets, so I took my best friend Steffani, and he and Emily joined us! It was pretty excited, I had never been before! They played the San Jose Earthquakes; Ethan assured me that RSL would win, but alas, they did not. They tied, 0-0. We still had tons of fun! Steff and I bought sweet RSL bracelets, which makes us feel cool!
Steff and I then had a slumber party! Well, she just slept over that night and we stayed up talking! Thursday morning, we went to help the GHS band...we're still marching cowboys at heart! We're such nerds! But we had a good time, and Mr. Nix (band teacher) assured us that if we helped the band during the summer, he would pay us, hoping to help us pay for college in some way! That's a nice perk!

funny moment at work

I have a funny moment to share! Ok, I was working at McDonald's yesterday, handing out in the drive-thru when a couple people were saying that there was a guy asleep in his car in the drive-thru lane. I said that I would go check it out once I had handed out this last order. At first, I thought it was our maintenance guy or something, but I went out to see what was going on. As I walked out the door, I saw a line of cars in the parking lot and I was worried that we were busy, but I looked to the front of this line and saw that there was this silver car just sitting there, with no cars in front of it. The people behind this car started to just go around him and carry on. So I finally got to the car and I saw that the guy (and his friend in the backseat, with a bag of Doritos) was totally asleep! At first I was scared that he was dead (yes, really), but I knocked on his window which woke him up. He looked very confused! The maintenance man was also out there and started laughing, as well as the other people in the drive-thru lane. It was quite funny, and I felt bad for the guy! I was also worried that he was in no condition to drive, but he made it through the line ok and did get his food. This is one memory I won't soon forget!

slow start to the summer

Well, I was hoping to get this post office job as soon as the summer started, but alas, I must wait 2 more weeks to even see if I get to train for the job. So McDonald's it is! But they love me there and I get paid well so it's not so bad. I'm just hoping that I can save enough money for college! But I'm really excited for school! I just wish it didn't cost anything...aw well! Because I have some extra free time, I've been able to clean my room (finally). It was a disaster before...But I gave a lot of stuff to DI, organized some papers, and vacuumed! :) My mother was greatly pleased! I'm hoping that I can keep this habit up; I guess we'll see. That's all for now, I suppose!

Graduation!!!

Well, here is my first blog post! This is exciting! :) Yesterday was my high school graduation!! It still hasn't sunk in that I'm now a GHS alumni...but I'm sure within the next few days, it will dawn on me. It's been a great week, though! My friends and I have partied our fair share! ha ha! We saw 'The Chronicles of Narnia' on Monday, and it was alright, although I was pretty lost because it's been years since I've read it! But it was still good. Then Tuesday was the Last Chance Dance/Luau, which was amazingly fun! We went ice blocking in Sugarhouse Park which was really fun! Then on Wednesday, a group of us seniors went to a lunch party and played tennis in Tooele, which I'm not very good at!
But last night was the best! We were going to have the graduation outside, but the weather was too unpredictable, so we moved it into the gym. It was pretty crowded but turned out well. As the Sr. Class Historian, I gave the history of the class! And as the Music Sterling Scholar, I played a flute solo; they both turned out well! After taking LOTS of pictures, our family and my friend Tommy's family ate at Wingers in Tooele. It was fun and really good! Then it was time for the Senior Lock-in at the bowling alley in Tooele. We bowled ALL night, but we had a great time!
Overall, this week has been AMAZING!! I hope that I can keep this blog going!
